7 Dead in Guatemala from Drug Traffickers Clash

GUATEMALA CITY – Four men were riddled with bullets by suspected drug traffickers who dumped their bodies alongside a highway in a rural town of northwestern Guatemala, but later three of the murder suspects were lynched by local residents, officials said Saturday. A spokesperson for the National Civil Police, or PNC, told Efe that the incidents occurred Friday night in two communities of Huehuetenango province bordering Mexico at some 300 kilometers (186 miles) northwest of the Guatemalan capital.
