"Granito: How to Nail a Dictator" is screening May 7
Film director Pamela Yates' "Granito: How to Nail a Dictator" is closing the Politics on Film festival in Washington, DC on May 7. "Granito" is a documentary about the search for justice for human rights crimes committed during the 1980s scorched earth military operations in Guatemala.
It features the work of the National Security Archive, as well as our partners Center for Justice and Accountability, the Forensic Anthropology Foundation in Guatemala, the Guatemalan Historic Archives of the National Police, and many other amazing organizations. It's a terrific film and I hope everyone will turn out to watch! The tickets will go on sale on Friday. If you are interested in seeing the documentary during the festival, please go on-line on Friday and buy them without delay.
According to Pam, the screening room only fits 100 people. (She is negotiating with the festival to hold a second screening, to be announced.) http://www.politicsonfilm.com/index.php
