Our letter calls on President Colom to implement the recommendations of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and suspend operations at the Marlin mine.

At the request of a local community group, ADISMI, in San Miguel Ixtahuacán, San Marcos, Guatemala, Cultural Survival's Guatemala Radio Project staff members traveled west to the mountains of San Marcos to participate in a four-day workshop this weekend on how to initiate and operate a community radio station.
